ELECTIONS BC (04/08 - 10/09)

I was asked to contribute my new media experience to the small communications team at Elections BC for the 39th Provincial General Election. During the event I was responsible for copy writing, copy editing and layout on their public website (www.elections.bc.ca). I also created the election night reporting website and contributed to a variety of press releases.
Prior to the election I was responsible for internal communications tasks including creating a weekly staff newsletter, and producing all of the election documentation and reports.
Post-election, I led the production of the Statement of Votes, a 675-page document which summarized the office's work during the election period. Significant long-term contributions were surrounding modernization of their publication process and digital forms technology.

Communications Officer

West Teleservices (04/03-12/06)

I wrote and delivered daily internal messages to over 1000 West Teleservices (www.west.com) employees serving AT&T Wireless and later Cingular Wireless customers. Through ongoing verbal presentations, daily newsletters, and mission-critical e-mail, it was my role to ensure that agents had all their informational needs met on a daily basis.

Communications Officer

Pacific Blends (05/01-03/03)

On behalf of Pacific Blends' management, I acted as link between office and production staff regarding corporate policies. Tasks included authoring training and job safety documents, a corporate manual and an intranet site. I also developed corporate image and marketing materials including product information documents, for external communications. Pacific Blends manufactures custom dry-food blends catering to industrial clients.

Production Coordinator

Chalk NetworkS (01/2000-05/01)

I managed a technology team that researched and wrote scripts on technology products for several consumer electronics television shows. Additional duties included writing and directing special-effects segments and writing content for a technology-related radio show. Chalk Networks creates television shows for national broadcast, airline television content, streaming advertising, and technology features for local news programs.
